Project Overview
PaceXR is a multi platform extended reality (XR) training product created for physician education around a next generation leadless pacemaker. The experience combines physical tools with spatial guidance to support procedural understanding, skill retention, and repeatable practice across different learning environments.
My Role
I led the end to end UX and UI design across three interconnected applications for HoloLens 2 and iPad.
A multi-user mixed reality (MR) training app for both HoloLens 2 and iPad, enabling physicians to practice the pacemaker implantation procedure in an immersive, guided environment.
A sales-focused iPad app designed to introduce the device and communicate its clinical benefits through 3D interactive storytelling.
A standalone iPad education app that provided a fully digital walkthrough of the procedure in augmented reality (AR), serving as a refresher tool and supporting remote or asynchronous learning.
Outcomes
The delivered builds enabled physicians and stakeholders to evaluate the XR training approach in realistic contexts. The work demonstrated how physical models and mixed reality guidance can bridge the gap between digital education and hands on procedural learning.
